We Are Hiring - Sales Position
JOB SUMMARY
Sells Personal Watercraft (Wave Runner, Sea-Doo, and Jet Ski) by understanding and demonstrating characteristics, capabilities, and features. Develop qualifying buyers and closing sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop an understanding of all personal watercraft by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features between models.
Assist in setting up the dealership & showroom floor, Keep inventory clean and presentable at all times
Greet customers immediately in a courteous manner
Ensure the Shoreline sales process is used with every sales opportunity
Assist customers with product and services sold at the dealership in order to present features and benefits to customers
Demonstrate personal watercraft by explaining characteristics, capabilities, features, warranties, service; taking demo rides to match buyer requirements
Project a positive image to customers at all times
Collect names and numbers of customers encountered at the store on a daily basis
Close sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering Finance & Insurance, servicing and modification.
Prepare the Pre-Delivery Process for workshop manager & Follow the Shoreline Handover process with the customer when taking delivery.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Stay up-to-date on our current inventory and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make a purchase; new and used products.
Marketing Activities – Update Social Media Content, Website and EDM – Work with sales manager to put together promotions, advertising, social days etc.
Assist workshop staff with overflow for e.g. walk in customers, booking in jobs, taking phone calls etc.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Strong computer skills
Strong Mechanical & Marine knowledge a plus
Excellent customer service, negotiation skills & follow-up is a must
Power sports, Automotive or related sales and customer service experience a plus
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Professional personal appearance
CRM knowledge a plus
Ability to ride and correctly operate Personal Water Craft
Report to the Sales Manager, Service Manager, Administration and Dealer Principal.
Must be a team player and be able to help other staff when needed.
Must be willing to commit oneself during the peak season (September – April) with zero distraction – no taking time off, sick leave etc. Traditionally we do shut the shop the week between Christmas and New Year.
Must be able to work all Saturday morning’s (Half-Day) unless it is a public holiday or you have booked the time off in advanced. A registered half day off during mid week can be discussed
Must be flexible to work the occasional weekend or after hours to attend community events put on by the dealership or trade shows etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Year 12 or equivalent
1+ years’ experience in retail sales preferred
Previous dealership sales experience a plus
